Last Best Chance

Last Best Chance is a docudrama that shows the threat posed by vulnerable nuclear weapons and materials around the world and underscores what the stakes are.

In the movie, al Qaeda operatives organize three separate operations aimed at getting nuclear weapons. The material is then fabricated into three crude nuclear weapons by small groups of trained terrorists, who have recruited bomb-making experts to help them manufacture their weapons.

Governments around the world discover clues to the plot, but are unable to uncover the scheme before the weapons are en route to their destinations. The film clearly demonstrates that the hardest job for terrorists is gaining control of a nuclear weapon or material. Because the governments had failed to take sufficient action to secure or destroy the nuclear weapons material, they are helpless to prevent an attack.

The film stars Fred Thompson and features an epilogue moderated by Tom Brokaw.

Had lunch with Mr. Buffett a couple weeks back and he suggested this movie.

He also mentioned working with a group to purchase some arms from "falling into the wrong hands." To bad he didn't hire a team to take out the group selling the arms instead of giving them more money 😛

I didn't know Jimmy Buffett was so concerned about nuclear war...I thought he was more of a margaritas on the beach kind of fella.

Good find... Has anybody got this yet? Does it come in a actual dvd case or just an envelope type thing. It might be good just to get some free dvd cases.

Received mine yesterday. Came with a bunch of fliers and propaganda to try and get you to support their cause. DVD came in a case, with a cover and silk screened DVD. Havent gotten around to watching it yet. Sounds like it might be a 1/2 decent movie

Impressive list of endorsements for this film on its website-Warren Buffett, Ted Turner, a republican senator from Indiana (Lugar) and both the chair and vice-chair of the 9/11 Commission. Sounds interesting.

came in a case, was a decent watch. Some parts were clearly just for education, but there is some acting, explosions, gunshots etc.
