If you want to clean rollers in a printer just use Isopropyl Alcohol. In fact, if rubber rollers are starting to wear down its believed that rubbing alcohol on them will cause them to swell slightly which will eliminate the effects of the wear somewhat. The coarse paper may be effective if the rollers have worn to the point where they're smooth and not creating enough friction against the paper to grip it. In that case roughing the rollers up a little bit could help things out some.
