Free LAN Games for Help Desk

We have a very small help desk with a lot of downtime. We were wondering if there was any kind of a LAN game that we could all play together without eating external bandwidth. We are on a domain, but we are in good with the domain admins so getting minor things changed shouldn't be a big deal.

Does anyone have any ideas? Something Trivia or turn based would be good. Free is important.

yeah, it's a quake 3 arena clone, made after they released the quake 3 source code in '05 or whenever.
