I picked keyboard and at end it says "Thank you for ordering a Smart Card Reader. It will be shipped in four business days. Below is your Order Number. Save it for future reference. For any problems or questions, contact Customer Service at the number on the back of your Card."

You are getting a smart card reader built into a keyboard.
 
Write yourself a neat little VB program to capture the info when you swipe a card. Then invite your friends over to show them how cool it is. Then start ordering stuff with there info! :Q
 
I think it is PS/2 keyboard, which is fine, and the card reader is old serial COM port. I'll probably just use the keyboard part anyway, so the serial install isn't needed. Free is free.

Actually, wan't going to get one. Then I decided to see exactly what info is present on all my mag strips.

It's not a credit card reader - its a smart card reader. You use it with card that has a smart chip on it (e.g. Amex Blue or Citi Smart Card). All data on the chip is encrypted and requires the users pin to access it.
