I have my own account but my wife use (Freelane) and it is going to be down for a while according to the email she got today. So I need to find her another free ISP (besides netzero) to keep her happy, short of paying for 2 accounts (dont have DSL in our area). So could someone list some others that she might be able to use??? Help!!!

*bump* i'm interested in this too. i have netzero but the pop up *you are about to be disconnected* box is getting annoying. i was a freewwweb user since they started as smartnet, but when they sold out to juno i ditched.

sorry guys, but I think Netzero is the best non-cracked free ISP out there. I use Spinway.com (Address.com and Bluelight.com) with a crack so I don't get the ads, but Netzero was a more reliable service. the POP3 email access Netzero provides is the best, compared to the crappy web-based email of the other free ISPs.

As of now, a lot of free isps that were powered by 1stup are going under, including Altavista, Lycos, and some others. Juno seems to be a pretty good free isp, I have it installed on one of my machines and it works pretty well, including the email services. There were tons of access numbers in my area too.
