Just got an e-mail from Apple saying that students who purchase a qualifying Apple Computer can get a either a free iPod mini, or a discount towards an iPod classic. You'd save $179 towards, AR, or get the iPod mini free, AR.

Rebate available on Apple's Student website.

This is still a pretty good deal. My nephew is going to buy an apple for college, and he wanted an iPod too. This will defintely save him some money.

Yes, it does include the mini. Taking into account that the reabte also allows you the 10% off that students/faculty/employees get, I consider this hot. I am definitely going to pull the trigger on this deal.

Just FYI:
One individual may only get education pricing on (1) Apple laptop and (1) Apple desktop per year. Thus, this deal is only "one per person" even though it doesn't say that in the terms for this specific "Student Union" deal.

It's too bad... I was about to go purchase 10 ibooks and 10 iPods... but Apple lost the sale of those other 9 units. Too bad for them.

Found out about this yesterday. I bought an iBook for my husband and was pleased to learn it came with a "free AR" iPod. I'm keeping the iPod. :)

The problem I see is that Apple doesn't sell the iPod mini any more. So how are we supposed to purchase it?

You have violated the 4 core requirements of the free Ipod post:

1. You failed to register a new account

2. You failed to make it your first post.

3. You failed to use a mandatory "black man" avatar.

4. You failed to link to a pyramide scheme with a refereal ID in the link.

HOW DARE YOU!!!!!

J/K Too bad Mac Mini is excluded.
