Free Ice cream at Baskin Robbins!

Thanks!
Can't I just print out a lot of these coupons and get lots of free ice cream by going to different locations and times?

I went in, and they really didn't like my coupon.

I walked in, ordered my ice cream, and before she rung me up, I handed her the coupon. She looked at it for a minute, and called another employee over. She took at look at it, and said "no". She told me she won't accept this. I ask her why, and she says "because we don't". I point out it says Baskin Robins on it, and its good for March 2nd, and today is March 2nd. I read some of the rules at the bottom of the sheet out loud to her, and she said she won't accept it because it is a computer copy from a printer. DUH. Of course, thats how you get it. I offered the Ice Cream back, and she said just to keep it, because she'll throw it out anyway. I told her I didn't come in to rip you guys off, but thats what the coupon said. I then sat down, ate it, and left.

Goodluck, hopefully your local Baskin Robbins employees are informed of such promotions.

Looks like people are having bad luck using the coupon. Even the coupon print looks fake without a bar-code on it.

You know of others having problems?

I got my free icecream, but was disappointed in the service.

While certainly nothing to brag about, I work in the food industry in a company much like Baskin Robbins, and we honor just about every coupon, from expired ones to ones out of state. It doesn't effect us, and its more hassle than its worth arguing to a customer about it. While we do not know every single promotion out there, we know most of the nation wide ones, and as we'll honor them the best we can.

I don't see what the big deal is. The coupon clearly shows the date, how the franchise can redeem it, and all of that small print on there. Well, whatever, I got my ice cream.

Ice cream in NY at this time of year................... too bad they weren't givin away hot chocolate 🙂 hahaha

Well, you should always tell them you are using a coupon or at least show it to them before you order. I know from my experience as a waiter many people would just *assume* expired coupons were still good, or coupons that have certain stipulations. Showing any coupon before hand will help both you and the people serving you out.

Anyways, in this case you were right and they were wrong.
