Heh, don't mind him, free is free, and there are some members that don't like Cyberrebates, but some still get in on these deals.

Ok, someone explain this whole cyberrebate thing... from what I understand, they overcharge on EVERYTHING and then wait 2 1/2 months to send you your rebate check. Why would anyone do this? It sounds to me like they take all the profit they make after charging you obsene prices and they must put it in a money market account or stocks or something... then they give you your money back and they've made a profit... sounds kinda shady to me...

These questions come up every time someone posts a CR thread..

- Cyberrebates makes most of its money from either the "partial" rebate items (like $40 rebate for a $100 item) or from people who completely fail to send in the rebates which is probably a very astonishing number. Anyhow their business model is unique and I don't see them disappearing anytime within the next fiscal quarter.. enough time to get in on this deal ;)

110.00 for a 20.00 keyboard! for some of you this may be a good deal but sorry but i think i would rather just pay the 20.00 and invest the other 90.00 for 2 months i could easily make 20. on 90. in 2 months if not more!

WW4A:

Please, PLEASE tell us all how you can

<< invest the other 90.00 for 2 months i could easily make 20. on 90. in 2 months if not more! >>

That way we can all retire in a couple of years and not have to grovel through the OD closeout bin for bargains!

Thank you in advance for the info. This knowledge is better than "IT/Ginger"!

Cyberrebate keeps jacking up its prices and delaying its rebates longer. This keyboard cost me 69.00 two months ago from them and I still haven't received my cheese back.

Also, this keyboard's extra features (i.e. hotkeys, suspend, and cd controls) are not compatible with Win2k. IBM doesn't put out drivers that work for it.

Cyberrebate is never a hot deal. I still remember those outrageous prices they were charging on some products, such as "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" CD-ROM Game. :)

Holy crap, $110 for a keyboard should never be considered a hot deal, even if there's a rebate involved.

www4a, You can make $20 on $90 in two months easily? Wow. Why are you reading the forums here then? That's $120/year on a $90 investment, wow, an easy 133% annual return. Give me your address, I'll send you $10,000. You invest it, earn the 133% in a year, and I'll split the profit with you, that's over $6000, for easy money.

Man, I hate stupid people.

Yeah I bought about $1300 worth of Xmas gifts from them back in Sept. and just recently got my checks. So they do appear to follow thru with their rebates at least for now. I probably got the money from the people that ordered in Dec. that's why I figured early orders would be safe as long as the bulk of orders continued to come in closer to Xmas.

First I think I read that these pups are discontinued. Second, if you have Win2k stay away from this keybaord. There is no Win2k software support to enable the special keys.

The investment scheme is quite simple and the only downsides are driveby shootings, turf wars involving your corner, and a possible cell mate named "Long" Latrelle.

What I don't get is why do these posts keep coming up? Why did the person who posted this think that we might want to know about this one item and not EVERY other free item at cyberrebates?

I have to believe a lot of the cyberrebates posts are basically them spamming us.

You want to know how to make $$$ off of other money?? It's called either long-term stock investing, or 3-24 month CD accounts from your bank... though I wanna know how the heck to get a 33% rate rather than just 7.5%!!
