boy, you dug this up deep. man, you must've gone into the archives to get this. why are you digging up old threads? LOL 😛

good find... if you live in europe. if not, sucks for you.

"Note: This promotion is only available to individuals with adresses within the EU*."

* EU = European Union

Hey texasviking, do you live in the EU? I assume you live in Texas. How'd you manage to get it.

I actually e-mailed their customer service about it because when I signed up I'm 90 percent sure there was no disclaimer at that time stating that the address had to be in the EU.

No word from CS yet.

I live in Ireland so this should only take a couple days to arrive.

How can you people complain, this is the first real deal i have seen for anyone one who lives in the E.U. In the U.S you have deals going on every day of the week.

Shame on you.

We aren't complaining because the offer is only good in the EU, its because they changed their page to say that after we signed up. Hopefully that's just for new signups, but I don't know.

Yep..it never mentioned having to live in the "EU" before. Else someone would have caught it early on..it stands out very well now since it's bolded.

Got my reply from QXL's customer service. Looks like we ain't getting it even though I REALLY don't remember the disclaimer being there when the brunt of us signed up:

Thank you for your email which we received Jul 28, 2000 which has been forwarded for my attention.

Unfortunately we will be unable to send you the requested software title as the disclaimer was advertised when you joined, it might not have shown because of the version of browser that you use. QXL does apologize for any inconvenience caused and we hope that this is not going to deter you of using QXL in the nearby future.

If you have any other query, please do not hesitate to send us an email to help@qxl.com

Kind Regards
