What I like about GW is that about half the game takes place after you max out the level cap. Also, I played WoW for about 5 months, and I was hooked, but I couldn't justify the time it took to run the level grind to create a good character. In Guild Wars, there's none of the "run out to kill stuff, wait til it respawns, kill it again, rinse and repeat until levelled" thing that goes on it MMORPGs like WoW, you level up just by working through the missions. No, it's not persistent, and it's a bitch to sell stuff sometimes, but with Factions, they're supposed to add an auction house type environment, which will be nice, and I've heard there will larger group battles, which would be great (King of the Hill!).
To be honest, I'm pretty bored with the core Guild Wars package right now, but I played it for well over 6 months and it's still installed, I go on sometimes to PvP a little. I'm looking forward to Factions for the new PvE content, as well as the larger group battles. Weekend event didn't really show off as much as I would have liked, although both new classes seem cool.
