FREE Google Toolbar!!!

I`ll never fiqure out why people love to fill up their screens with this crap........sorry, nothing personal.

I just used my goooooogle tooooolbar to look up "Google Plex"

"google plex" = 10^100 --> ack..should be 10^10^100

Gooooo goooogle!!!

A google is a number, a very, very, very, very large number, in fact it;s the largest number extant.

Google is the best, period.

yeah, kinda - but they're totally upfront about it, there's a disclaimer/explanation of what they do and if I remember correctly it ain't too bad.

doubleclick they are NOT

google still rocks, even more so cuz I now know about the google & the google plex
keepin' it real with the big numbers...

🙂

No offense to anyone but just for the record I believe your spelling is off a bit.

10^100 (1 followed by one hundred zeroes) = one googol and 10^googol = 10^(10^100) = one googolplex.

Not bad. I didn't think to use the toolbar to find a definition of a google or google plex. Merium Websters (www.m-r.com) didn't even have the word in their dictionary.

But you are right. A google is a 1 followed by 100 zeros, i.e. 10^100.

A google plex is a 1 followed by a google zeros, i.e. 10^(10^100), a number far larger than the number of atoms in the universe.

To each his own...I find the google toolbar to be very useful...and like any toolbar, you can toggle it on and off. Nice to have it right there on every page. Google is far and away the best search engine out there. I was a former Hotbot user...now use Google exclusively. Why this qualifies as a "deal" should be the question, though...heheh

not bad........... i saw a very cool toolbar for a shopping service last week -- i've got it on another computer i will post the name l8r

Yeah, it's free, but it monitors all the sites you visit, and reports it back to Google! Now we all know where you go when yo mama ain't watchin' 🙂

Instead of downloading this 'tool' and further reducing your browser/monitor real estate, why not just install TweakUi (use google to search for it!).

Once installed in your control panel, go to the General Tab, select 'Custom' as your Search Engine and enter http://www.google.com/search?q=%s. Then you can use google as your search engine simply by typing go <whatever you want to search for goes here> in IE's Address field.

TweakUI has a bunch of other really useful stuff too. One of the better things Micro$oft has ever made, IMHO.
