2002 C-class event had free caps, golfballs, flexi cutting boards for the kitchen, and branded bottled water. And a public Xbox lounge.

Oh, and beating the hell out of their cars without being nagged.

Porsche used to do day long driving classes with professional instructors.

Autoshowinmotion is kind of lame, but you do get a Tshirt, coupon, and a chance to drive a dozen different cars without fussing with any salesmen, and it includes lunch. For us we were able to rule out several cars, and even a crappy no tire spin drive in the vette was fun.

All of these events started with a dealer only event for sales people, a ride and drive, where they show them the features and how to pitch them during test drives.

i went to this 3 times (it came 3 years) in oakland, CA. each year they had hummer H2s, corvettes, and an array of medium range luxury vehicles (SUVs, MB e320s, lexus gs430 etc.) and some sports cars (GTO, IS300, etc.) it was a pretty good experience everytime. GM is pretty generous in that it provides test drives, free lunch/shirts and the organization is top notch.

yes, when i went there wereboth stick+AT corvettes and GTOs.

well.. the car was ok.
track was short. 2 tracks. kind of dissapointing as previous tracks were longer.
you get an orange Benz baseball cap.

They had Voss water(from the clear waterfalls of Norway, $5 a bottle 😀) and some small cheesecakes and cheesesticks.

at least it wasnt too far from chicago, but not as good.

Now I wait for Lexus and BMW event 🙂

I'm going to whatever is in NY. I'll be trying to get as many tshirts as possible. Last time I tried to get the whole box, but they caught me. I did nab some sodas though.

Not really in it for the test drives, feels too much like going to work. .
