Dead Nation
InFAMOUS
LittleBigPlanet™
Super Stardust™ HD
WipEout® HD Bundle

Sony offers these free games for download I think because of their hacking scandal. Yall have any opinions on any of them?

I just finished downloading inFamous and Dead Nation and haven't played either one, but both got good reviews.

InFamous was released about the same time as Prototype and is supposedly the better of the two electric-superhero games.

They're all supposed to be decent, so pick the ones that are the type of game you like -- platformer, racing, twin-stick shooter, etc.

IMO, they're all pretty good, just depends on what you want to play since none of them are remotely like any of the others. If I hadn't played any of them before I'd probably go with inFamous and Super Stardust HD.... or maybe WipEout in place of SSHD if I were a big fan of racing games. inFamous 2 just released and is fantastic. So if you happen to like inFamous you'll have another game waiting after finishing the first game.

You could read reviews..

I got inFamous and Little Big plant. I don't think Little Big Plant is going to be my cup of tea however and probably should have just got Dead Nation instead.

Yea, I know. I don't trust ANY review site.

I love Dead Nation. It's a top down (Diablo viewpoint) zombie killing game. Infamous is also great.

Infamous was an excellent game. Prototype was better, and Infamous 2 is certainly better, but it's definitely worth having. Haven't played any of the others.

FYI - immediately begin downloading after checking out. I failed to, and lost both my free game credits.

If you may be interested in more than one game, one thing I considered is what it offers and how much it would cost to buy it. For example, while WipEout HD includes the entire package/bundle, Super Stardust HD does not and the add-on will cost you another $7.99. I'm not exactly sure what comes in the add-on though :p.

I believe the prices were:
Super Stardust HD : $9.99
Dead Nation : $14.99
WipEout HD Bundle : $24.99
inFAMOUS : $29.99

I already own Little BigPlanet, so I didn't look that one up. I don't really like LBP anyway... the whole 3D platform with a foreground and background "layer" is not really my cup of tea.

Super Stardust HD is a great dual-stick shmup. I haven't tried WipEout yet, although it looks very similar to F-Zero.

Excuse my ignorance. But what is a "dual-stick shmup". I don't usually play console games.

Go to Account Management, Download History (or something like that) and re-download the games. Also, if you selected only one, go to a similar place, but select game promotions. You should be able to select another game then for free.

They are all good games. It was actually really cool of Sony to offer good games instead of some turds on PSN instead for free.

Wipeout is my personal fav out of all of those.

I've been playing inFamous since they made it free and I think it's real fun. Not awesoem but real fun. Also Dead Nation is a fun zombie killing game but it's much more fun playing with someone else.

Account Management -> Transaction Management -> Services, then I could select the games. Thanks man, you rock!

Super Stardust™ HD
Bought this a while ago and have put *many* hours into it. If you like old-style arcade games (your progress isn't saved, so you start over every time) and trying for high scores then this is a must-have.

LittleBigPlanet™
I own this on disc, and it's a very novel game. The mood the game sets is actually very engrossing, but can also be a bit depressing for some reason. If you like games that go in completely new directions, and you like platforming, then this is a great game.

InFAMOUS
I chose this as my first free one as it was the no-brainer choice. It's a great game and I've put a ton of hours into it over the last couple weeks. It is not a superb game, just a really solid game that's lots of fun.

WipEout® HD Bundle
I grew up playing F-Zero so I chose this over Dead Nation for my second free game. Dead Nation is a dual-stick shooter made by the people that made Super Stardust HD, and I love that game, so this was a hard decision. Comparing prices if I was to buy them (as Aikouka did above) was what swung me over to this one. WipEout HD has actual advertisements in game though, which if I had known about I would *not* have chosen this. Every time a damn commercial plays I want to quit the game and not play it again.

Dead Nation
This looks like a lot of fun and I will probably pay the cash for this game at some point in the future. I wish I'd chosen it over WipEout HD.

WipEout HD doesn't have advertisements, but the expansion pack Fury does. In any case, the ads can be disabled during solo modes by disconnecting from the internet as you play the game.

It may be that installing Fury is what enabled the advertisements, but they are playing when I load levels in the non-Fury campaign.

I've been playing the main campaign for the last two weeks. I haven't seen one ad despite having Fury installed.

I think Little Big Planet is great - some people won't like it.

I already own it and inFamous (not yet installed).

So I got wipeout and will get Super Stardust - zombies don't do it for me though people like that game.

As others said, Sony did nicely here.

I tried downloading these a few weeks ago and the servers kept erroring out on me. I did manage to finally snag imfamous (its an ok game) but when I tried to redownload LBP it was not on the screen as an option. I checked my D/L history and it doesnt show up. Bummer, I know they were "free" but after all the BS sony put us through I feel I should be able to call them and say "Hey, my free game didnt download".

What you're describing is a common problem. I believe there is a relatively simple solution to remedy that.

I don't know the specifics on the solution as I never had any issues, but I do remember reading from different forums about the same problem.
