Free Futuremark 3dMark 05

Wow, They must be getting hit hard. futuremark=no bandwidth. I guess futuremark didn't run futuremark on their web servers

Scored a 5262 using Beta 4.10 Catalysts, no AI, stock X800XT (500/500), 3GHz Prescott.

First of the three main benchmarks was the best.

Definitely brought my setup to it's knees in some parts. It should be a nice slideshow for those of you with lesser cards.

There are some benches of various cards.

For now, in DirectX, ATI > all.

Can I ask why this is a hot deal?

It's not like they're making this free suddenly when it used to cost money. This seemingly belongs in the hardware forum (where it already is I think)

It is hot deal for ATI and NVIDIA because this benchmark will make your FX59xx and 9800 look extremely bad. Then you will just go ahead and spend $$$ for new cards.

I think it has always been free ... even this one:

When you have downloaded your free version of 3DMark05 (with limited functionality), we highly recommend that you purchase the 3DMark05 Pro license ($19.95USD) in order to get all those amazing Pro features, tests, options, and online services enabled!
