No matter what life throws your way, Ford Fusion has a way of tossing it back. Like getting up to 32 mpg* on the highway - take that, gas prices. So why not take one for a test-drive and get a $50 gift card for your time? Use the gift card toward anything you?d like. May we suggest filling up your tank?

Just click the Gift Card link and take a printed copy of the certificate to your local Ford dealership. Once you?re there, have your salesperson fill it out. Then put it in a standard-size, stamped envelope and mail it by 3/31/06. Your gift card will arrive at your home in approximately 10 to 12 weeks. If it doesn?t, ? please call Customer Services at 866-261-3596.

Hmmm I haven't really done one of these test drives before, but i'm pretty interested in what the Ford Fusion is like.
I don't like the rear though. It looks like an "older" Accord.

I recently bought a Ford Fusion. Too bad I didn't know about this offer first (although I did buy it before it was posted).

I really like it so far :) It drives really nice, has good pickup (V6), and I really like how it looks, too.

Anyway, not what the thread is about, though :) Go get your $50 gift cards.

I did not think the Fusion was schduled for the 3.5L motor, only the new crossover SUV's and Five Hundred?

Nor di I think there were any plan s to make the Fusion in AWD flavor.

Interested in whether this works or not. Wouldn't mind test driving the Fusion.

Funny i got this in the mail a couple of weeks ago, but it looks completely different than this, I wonder if this is a valid form.

Isn't the Fusion based off one of Mazda's car platforms? Might be worth looking at if it is.

Hmm...Looks like Ford finally opened their eyes and hired new interior designers. The inside looks very similar to a Honda Accord. Sleek gauges, rounded dash, etc. No more hard edges. But I wonder if the plastic they used is of the soft-type plastic and of heavy strength? My parents have always had Ford/Chevy, and the interior of their cars have sucked the past decade compared to Japanese models. The dash on Ford has always been made up of this hard plastic and felt thin and cheap, and controls on the steering wheel/column were the same. Ford always used clunky controls on steering wheel that made noise. Even their turn signal had a loud relay switch that made noise, and is annoying. Did they finally open their eyes up and change everything for the better? If so, this car may be a start of a new future for Ford. I may just have to go take a look.

i think most car mags have speculated that it will get the 3.5L motor, but maybe not AWD. the 500 will have both probably. with the camry having like 260+ hp now, it'd be a no brainer plus the new engine probably gets better gas milage. they should build a hyrbid 4 cylinder fusion to compete against the hybrid camry as well (since ford already has the technology from the escape hybrid)

the new motor is much better though even i think the fusion is already a great car (and i've never owned an american car ever)

but yeah... i've seen it in person and its a lot more expensive looking than it seems, and its got sort of an edge to it instead of going all weird like your new bmws and lexus ISes (i dunno that is just what i see at work, i'm not saying its in the same class outside of look).

I'm curious about that myself.

I think the originals that were sent out were postcards and addressed to the person they were sent too. That way when the are sent back in they already had the name and address.
