I'm in for Cleveland. Even if I don't win anything, I'll be happy to get final eval code for Server 2K3 and .NET 2K3.

I just installed 2003 on a 266mhz 128mb laptop. Definitely faster than XP (unusable on the laptop) and about the same so far as I can tell as Win2k.
Maybe even better. This is really a much leaner (default) config than XP. I haven't tried the new features yet.

Going to the DC one. Just got my manager approval to attend during business hours. Thanks for the heads up!!

Even Sweeter to get paid for going. How can I make this happen for me Hmm....

thanks for the post. I went to the tablet pc one with my wife. I figured, a 1 in 200 chance of winning a $2000 tablet PC was well worth sitting through their presentation. didnt win anything, but, still had fun. I just registered both of us for this one 🙂

How long are these events? All day?

Any additional info you guys can give?

Denver event is all day from 8:30 AM to 4 PM but not sure how if they run presentations all day or at certain time slots??

These MS events are pretty neat. Lots of free stuff (food, giveaways, etc.). I've had alot of fun in the past attending them. I highly recommend it.

We?re sorry, due to the popularity of this event, registration is currently closed. Please search for another event.

Go to the site and Click on your profession (IT Professional), and then pick your city or one close to you. THe times vary on the city. Nashville, TN was 3pm till 8:30 pm, but Atlanta was 9am - 5:30 pm. New York City has 2 times slots.

They tend to have big welcome event to kick off, then events all day that you pick what to go to and finally the raffle at the end of the day (to force people to stick around)

I must be the minority here, I think these events bite. A lot of salesmanship - little substance. And evaluation copies do expire.

I assume that you all do realize that this is for the evaluation edition only.

Yeah, but it will be more interesting than actually sitting through classes all day at the suckiest school in cincinnati.
