I don't think they're junk -- you must have gotten a defect. Mine works great (and it's one of the better-writing pens I've had in a while, too). . . . And that is after I somehow managed to drop it onto a cement floor from about 3 feet . . . twice. (Don't ask -- I'm just clumsy.)
 
got mine a while back... awesome pen... 😀

i ordered another to give to my cousin for christmas... he builds houses so this would be great for him! 😛

My "turning" mechanism also does the same thing as joecool's. That kinda sucks but whatever, it was free....
 
My dog got her's yesterday..... a nice shinny red bubble envelope.

I have it ontop of my monitor at work......monitor is now level.... 😀

Probably so. I recieved mine within a month, IIRC.
