Since my name is tied down to that server, I hope I don't suddenly see IP addresses from that server hitting any spam blacklists. I don't wanna rain on any parades, but I will come down HARD on anyone I catch spamming through this server. I'm sure anyone else here (RossMan?) can appreciate my position on this. =)

Other than that, party on Wayne!

Edit: BTW, *please* don't use your account like a junkmail address. That's what they invented Hotmail and Yahoo mail for.

I totally agree. You're putting yourself at huge risk by offering free e-mail accounts.

I had contemplated offering free @neffing.com e-mail accounts but the potential for abuse killed that idea.

Thanks again Thoreau and Adul for offering this free service to AT'ers, the webmail works great!

Thanks Adul & Thoreau can't wait to get it set up and running :D if my friends understood what neffing meant i would covet one of Rossman's domain names too :p but sadly they dont my current e-mail address @thecomputer.com confuses them due to the fact it also has my username from here so half the time they dont get it due to the fact some have never heard of linux :\

Rossman:

Which web email login interface do you use for this account?

The NeoMail, Horde, or SquirrelMail?

I used to use neomail, but it has given me nothing but problems since the cPanel upgrade.

He uses SquirrelMail

Adul is correct, I prefer Squirrelmail (former Horde user).

Squirrelmail rocks.

I recently tried IlohaMail which I am considering switching to (but we cannot use this on Adul's server unless they install it - which I don't see happening).

I've installed an additional webmail client that I think may be worthy of replacing the other three.

Check it out at http://webmail.atofftopic.com/ and let me know what you think.

username must still be the full email address, and you wanna put in 'localhost' for the server until i can figure out this rat's nest of php to make it default.

Edit: Login screen corrected to get rid of the useless junk. Gonna try to have it automatically append the domain name to the end of the username so you *only* have to enter your username and password, not the entire @atofftopic.com part.

Edit2: Mission Accomplished!

Just put in your username and password, and you're in!

Keep in mind this webmail client is in BETA MODE! I am looking into switching it to a MySQL backend, so settings may be lost in this client when I do. This will NOT cause you to lose any email as this webmail client is connecting via IMAP and all messages are stored on the server itself.

Now if I can just make it to 'Golden'...

Yeah, I saw someone mention it in this thread (memory getting hazy) and thought i'd check IlohaMail out. Turns out that it's a pretty sweet system and would let me drop the default cPanel webmail clients completely. I don't know why, but for some reason I don't trust them.

Another added benefit of using Alohamail vs cPanel's 3 webmail clients is it uses standard port 80 http not 2095 which is blocked by 99% of corporate firewalls.

I can easily access webmail.atofftopic.com from home or work with no problems. Seems like a really sweet webmail system.
