Could users access their email accounts via the web or would an email client (ie Outlook) be used?

it should be access via the web. Though I have yet to test this.

If you are using WHM/cPanel you can access webmail two ways:

http://www.atofftopic.com:2095

http://www.atofftopic.com/webmail

Will someone please test those URLs, does it work for you?

Some corporate firewalls will block these ports.

Same here but there are a few ways around this if Adul is feeling generous :)

You could dedicate an IP to webmail or configure Squirrelmail to redirect to port 80, something like that.

Then it should work even if you have a picky firewall.

It should, if your email account has already been setup try this in your client client

email servers are
mail.atofftopic.com
mail.atofftopic.com

username: username@atofftopic.com
password is your password

Does that work?
