Hi! Does anybody know of a free DVD decoder that will work with Windows Media Player 11 on Windows Vista. I have tried VLC player. It works fine, except for the interlacing lines. I tried de-interlacing option, but it does not look good either. Thanks.

Pow! Right in the kisser!

That player still requires codecs for MPEG2, AC3, etc which is the real problem with playing DVDs. In order to legally play them you need valid licenses for various codecs and some other parts of them so even if you do find a free player that includes the codecs (like VLC) you're still required by US law to purchase the appropriate licenses on your own. If you're in another country you need to look into your local laws to find out what you need to do to be legal.
