I've seen a few engineering books on Kazaa but I don't think those are legal...

I have been evaluating using this book for the physics course I teach. How do you think students would respond to a "free" book that was not a physical book? The author asks that if you want hard copies, you buy them from him. (That seems reasonable to me.)
