I saw that posted in the comments. I'll have to give it a scan with NOD later.

Edit: It's 'advertisement supported' - maybe it's not just in-game adverts, but also some unpleasant services that get installed?

It's not a virus but it does have a pop up advertising for the US Air Force when you close the game. I'm assuming that is what was detected.

I get "the procedure entry point wmcreatesync reader could not be located in the wmvcore.dll" error when I click on the desktop icon, any fixes?

Do you have Windows Media Player v9 or higher installed?

I agree with Kaido, most users do not ever seem to visit the "Free Stuff" section

Probably not WMP 9 or better, (Im not on that computer right now), well, dumping it then, a game from 2004 needs 9?, screw it.

and I searched for Wmvcore.dll on that computer, I have it already, in System32? and .dll folder.

Thanks for the suggestions tho.....

Pretty cool game. Had a few good fright moments.

There are ads in the game, but nothing really annoying.

Yeah, the file download on filefront is "Sponsored by the US Air Force", so that's probably why you get the popup after closing.

The government must be getting really desperate. LOL.

I've also had the popup appear whenever I came down from insanity mode or reloading. LOL

"Ad supported" certainly isn't "free" in my book, but this is a decent game. Since there's no cd to deal with you won't need a crack that disables the drm, you'll just have to deal with the ads.
