Looks like cusa actually might have gotten some stock for this promo.
I just checked and there seems to be stock in the nyc and westchester cnty areas, even though its marked as sold out on the listing page.

I bought mine last week, anyone actually going to try n get in on this who purchased the card within 30days?

beware of c-usa's online inventory. it showed cards available at two of my local stores but neither one had any - either the inventory is wrong or the employees are holding them for themselves. i asked a guy and he basically said they are getting them in VERY small numbers at irregular intervals and they disappear within a few hours.

I just picked one up from the CUSA in Troy/Madison Heights Michigan. They had about 6 of them on the shelf. None of them had any stickers indictaing that DOOMIII came bundled. I asked the 2 guys behind the counter about the sale and they had no clue and had not heard about it. They didn't even believe me I don't think. Heck they didn't even seem to realize that the 6800GT was a hard card to find.

Anyway I plan on taking the receipt back on Sunday to get the deal hopefully since it isn't exactly a price match or anything.

I just picked one up at the Dearborn/Detroit store in Michigan. Hoping to be able to get the free Doom3 action too, but at this point I am just happy to finally have a 6800GT.

last week I confirmed that online inventory status blows.

The store in OKC had 1 in stock, 15 minutes later it was gone according to online.

I went to the store 3 hours later just to check and they had 6 in the back so I picked one up.

the store in westminster co shows online inventory, but according to the guy there the "inventory" is the card they have in one of the demo boxes - grrrr!

Once again, to clarify as a CompUSA employee, here is my update for y'all!!!!!!!!!!!!!:

CompUSA gives you price protection for two weeks, so if you got your card within two weeks from the ad break, go ahead and take your receipt in and get your free Doom III. If you purchased Doom III from there as well, take that receipt in too and just get your money back I suppose, just make sure and be polite and curteous to the store's CSRs and Managers. Take it from a CSR, when people come in demanding something, it makes it a whole lot easier to say no then if they simply explain the situation nicely and ask if you could do that for them. See my logic? I just took my receipt with my card in today and repurchased it with Doom III on the ticket for 0, and I wish you all the best of luck with this too. I just feel bad for ya if you bought it somewhere else already!
