right on. I used to work for these guys about 5 years ago when they were still called Seattle Filmworks. I was a software tester and tested an early version of this app and a web-based one. I also tested one of the first do it yourself scan/retouch/print kiosks they did. Unfortunately, it was not fun to use. I really didn't like Microsoft Agent and that miserable little wizard avatar.

The company has been closing all of their retail stores in favor of going primarily on-line based. I heard they're also ceasing the film developing business in favor of being primarily digital printing based.

The tour through the developing labs, the printing labs, the photo-cd labs was amazing. So much huge machinery and crazy contraptions!

For those wondering, back then at least, the photo quality was excellent. These were the guys who would give you a roll or two for free, and send a replacement roll when you got a roll developed.

I have several roll that need developing. Are they still processing the film that only they can process? The damn roll have been setting in my office for six years. God knows whats on those exposures. Thanks for reminding me of Seattle Film Works.

Yea, they gave you rolls of film that no one else could develope but them.

I was able to have my Seattle Filmworks film developed locally at the neighborhood grocery store. Although there are many places that won't do it, if you call around you're bound to find a few that will.
