Free CS2

Neat. But I'd still need either a college class or LOTS of time with online tutorials.
But saving 400 bucks would probably motivate me.

CS2 is a few years old, I believe it's more than enough for most hobby users.

AUsome! Thanks for sharing.

BTW, I don't think the Instant Masterpiece Plug-In came out until CS3. JUST KIDDING! Thanks for the link.

Its all good.
The funny thing about Photoshop is it takes like 4 versions to show any major improvements. Which means me learning CS2 is perfectly fine for a long time.

it works in windows 7/8
since you most likely have 64-bit, you need to change the install directory to progra~2 [probably because of limited char length + <= 32-bit program; this installs it to the 2nd progra folder, aka program files (x86) folder]

It's not really free, it's just a test to see who are the kind of people who will run red lights at 2AM in sparsely populated areas 😛.

It's more like if the circus put the giant cow in a field (you know, the one you pay $0.50 to see) and tell you not to look if you hadn't previously paid for the privilege.

Update: Following a frenzy of Internet activity — and some confusion — it appears that Adobe isn’t giving away free copies of Adobe CS2.
Adobe scientist Dov Isaacs clarifies:

You have heard wrong! Adobe is absolutely not providing free copies of CS2!
What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for existing licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See <http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1114930>.
Sorry for getting your hopes up and adding to the confusion.

Nah, more like if the giant cow was in a tent but there was no ticket-checker at the entrance. There is a giant disclaimer at the top of the page that was linked.

Everybody knows that... It says so right on the website. Obviously we all own CS2 legally

Don't pick a penny...or nickel/dime/quoter...dollar bill on the street - it does not belong to you...
It's not moral...It's not legal...

I had doubts as to where we're going
But you gotta hand it to the guys upstairs
I've been put on a whole new programme
Don't have to handle my own affairs
Everything I want is on my print-out
I don't need anything any more
I'm not confused by useless knowledge
I don't even know if it's 1984 for sure

Rules rule ok ask no questions
Welcome to the age of consent
Fasten seat belts drive with caution
Don't take shots at the president
Robot man is a wonderful creation
Automatically obeys the law
Laws of nature, man and physics
I don't even know if it's 1984 for sure
1984?

The only thing you have to know
Big brother is watching you
You love him

Robot man is a wonderful creation
Automatically obeys the law

You love him, you love him, you love him

I don't even know if it's 1984 for sure

The only thing you have to know
Big brother is watching you
You love him

What I need is a real emotion
A little love and a lot of despair
Robot man has a problem breathing
Robot man don't know how to care
Payed my dues but the dudes don't listen
I'd cry out but who the hell for?
I'd love to know what is means to suffer
I don't even know if it's 1984 for sure
1984?

fixed 😉
I tried Darktable several times, and found that the features are just as powerful as Lightroom, but it is slow and tend to crash on me, hence I ended up with Lightroom.

As for now I'm trying to find a replacement for QTstalker, and haven't find a good replacement that run under Windows...perhaps I have to dual boot Linux just to run some of my favorite software.
