If your turning up nothing when you search and know someone has records, post the state. Just the state, maybe city too, don't need all the details. Maybe we can figure out what states are lacking.

I know I should have found some in Missouri for someone I know, and it shows nothing.

Site's worthless. I've "bumped heads" with the law on numerous occasions, (more than just traffic tickets 😛 ) and it found nothing. No arrests, no convictions, nothing.

Yep!

Nothing on me either, and I know I can fill at least one page....

Uh... that site is publishing nonpublic information on people with things as minor as a dismissed traffic ticket. I'm hoping it gets shut down.

In almost all states anytime a officer writes up anyone , for anything, it is public record.

Like what. Everything they are posting is public record. They are just saving you the trip of going down to city hall and paying the clerk $5 to get a copy.

There six people with my same name listed, all have been convicted of violent crimes or drug crimes!

Heh, guess you found out they do have the information public.
They don't even require you to pay a fee or ask a clerk, instead they put computers up that the public can walk in and access.

Actually, they were required to take down DMV records from the internet a few years ago. The local major newspaper made a big deal about it when it was discovered that the state released to the public the information on every single licensed driver. It caused quite a controversy, to say the least.

And you realize that my complaint here is related to possible identity theft concerns here, right? How would you feel if your bank made your name and address public?

Yeah... I said f'it because I realized you were just going to be a tool.

Really ? Got a link ?
The state says I can still get any records I want.
Also the DMV is not the one with the records, it is the court system.

Your worried about identity theft because someone has your name and address ?
I hope you never use mail, keep your name unlisted in the phone book, don't use web sites that ask for information, etc.

Yeah... I said f'it because I realized you were just going to be a tool.

ahh, the name calling, can't take it, stop 😉
No, I'm just finding it interesting the policy on public records and how much or little information is really out there.

This is kind of fun, turns out one of my ultra-conservative co-workers was busted for skateboarding when he was 18 and then two weeks later there's another charge for providing false information on the citation.

😀

And the biggest offender I've found thus far (that I know):

Don't worry about the address stuff unless your trying not to be found .
I found out a lot about public records over the past month, I've been searching for a brother that left home 20 years ago and has not been heard from since.

There is all sorts of places that give out that info, phone number databases, tax records, land deeds, birth records, numerous detective type sites.

Unfortunately I have not found my brother.

Driving drunk with her fiancee, ~100 mph in a late 1980's Mercedes boat on windy country roads. In the dark. Rolled the car, killed the fiancee.
