The Western states include:

Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming are one the Western state list.

On March 1st, the Midwest states can get their free report. The South is set for June 1st and the eastern states jave to wait until Sept. 1st.

Actually, it's available today. Thanks for the heads-up, esquared. I now have my TransUnion credit report up on my screen. Have to decide whether to get all three at once, or spread'em out over the year.

I just heard about this on the radio and came here to post it. Hot deal!

The radio journalist points out that you can order a credit report once a year from each of the three major credit reporting agencies... so if you're in to keeping track of your credit, you can space out a report from each agency in four month intervals and keep an eye out throughout the year.

They also said you can purchase your "credit score" for about $5.

This sucks. A few states were able to request free reports annually from each of the bureaus. MD was one of them. But now you can't, and we have to wait another damn year for it.. blast. Time to whip out $40.

Let me clarifiy... we can't ask the bureaus directly anymore... but we can get it.. somehow i think...

I got mine 🙂 Yay for AZ got all 3 except equifax i had some trouble getting into and wasn't able to print off my report 🙁
anyone know how to retrieve reports from equifax when i have the order # but no login information? I've tried retrieving my username/password but it gives me a null exception error on the second page in :/

got mine from equifax....

report looked all good, except they mis-spelled my name
I've wondered a long time why i get "pre-approved" offers all the time with my name mis-spelled -- now i know.

Got one late on the 30th from TransUnion.
Paid extra ($5.95?) for the Credit Score and Summary..
Real eye opener...
You can't win. Even though I have a high score it could be higher..
1. Not enough revolving debt experience!
2. Too few satisfactory accounts. (All of my accounts are satisfactory, but I don't have enough of them!)
3. Too few premium bankcard accounts.

What gripes me is homeowners and car insurance premiums in this state are based on credit scores.
So to keep my premiums down I need to go out and sign up for more credit cards!

Got this from the Experian Website:

Did You Know?
Too many creditor inquiries can affect your credit, but checking your own credit does not affect your score.

... so don't worry about checking your own credit report and/or score I guess. Also FYI, experian offers the credit score for $3.99 (a bit cheaper than the other sites).

Yes, I read an article on this in our local paper. This is happening because of a law.
