Are you positive?I flunk tests.
Here's the cheapest ones.Retailers are going to be pissed. I've seen them for sale from anywhere from $19.99 to $85.00
On the news tonight they repeatedly said that people who signed up today should have their test kits sent out in 7-12 days.I stumbled across mention of this earlier today and was able to sign up as well.
Won't be holding my breath till they arrive!![]()
We had a certain president who liked this strategy (dumbass son of a bitch).More tests means more cases.
Test less.
Appreciate this link - I'd prefer to have been able to purchase from a pharmacy to get the coverage right away but I can go ahead and submit for reimbursement with this (its been almost impossible to find tests).Blue cross and blue shield will pay for 8 tests per person per month. Email came today. Costco has 5 for 48.00.

Why? Most insurance companies are now required to cover the retail cost 100%. So, there is no reason not to buy them from a store (other than lack of availability).Retailers are going to be pissed. I've seen them for sale from anywhere from $19.99 to $85.00
Medicare does NOT cover the cost of at home test kits. Why? Most insurance companies are now required to cover the retail cost 100%. So, there is no reason not to buy them from a store (other than lack of availability).
Personally, I'd call my HMO (Medicare Advantage plan), don't know if I'd get a straight answer, but instead of the 8 tests they'd reimburse (hmm, maybe) I just did the USPS 4 free test thing yesterday. I have yet to be tested for covid-19. I suppose I'll get it, they're saying most everybody will eventually, but I may never know. The next 3 years are going to be who knows what?Medicare does NOT cover the cost of at home test kits.
Yes, effective 1/15/22 most insurance companies are required to cover the cost. How many hoops must one jump through to submit a claim, which I guess would require submitting proof of purchase. What allowances would all the different companies have. Would deductibles or co-pays apply.
When is the last time you submitted for reimbursement from an insurance company?

What You Should Know About Home COVID Tests
There are now home tests you can take to test yourself for COVID-19. Learn more about how each one works.www.verywellhealth.com
Partly true. Medicare provides free at-home tests, but you either need to (A) get it at an approved location (a community health center or a Medicare certified clinic) or (B) get a doctor's order for the test.Medicare does NOT cover the cost of at home test kits.
I don't use much medical services yet (knock on wood). The last time that I submitted for reimbursement was when getting drugs and vaccines for international travel about 3 years ago from a travel clinic that doesn't accept insurance. Yes, there is a form to fill out and yes some people might find it not worth the effort. When is the last time you submitted for reimbursement from an insurance company?
