Chromosomal Laboratories, Inc., has announced the availability of a new Child DNA ID Kit. The new kit will assist parents in collecting important identification information, including DNA samples, of their children in case of an emergency.

The Child DNA ID Kit is available at no cost, there is however a $4.95 shipping and handling fee inside the U.S/Canada, and $9.90 (USD) for international orders to cover kit delivery costs.

It kinda reminds me of in the 80s they had the fingerprint identification thing and enterd all of the prints into the police database.

So would you need this incase you got your kid mixed up with another and coulnt tell them apart?

Or in case if you are on Jerry Springer with another "This is my child"/"This is not my child" segment.

I heard of something similar to this on the radio as well. It spawned from all the recent child abductions and amber alerts here in southern california. But the one I heard on the radio was mainly for celebrities, and I think this is for the common person.

The main idea is to have all the child's information and updated pictures so that you can give them to the police quickly in case your child gets abducted.

Just a "freebie" / loss leader to get you to part with $150 for their DNA Profiling service, don't ya' think?

Or one of their other services?

I'd think their reputation would be everthing, in such an area.
Otherwise, perfect territory for scam artists?
$150 in exchange for a bit of worthless hocus pocus?
