After the google search, click on the the first search result to get the free report. Credit goes to Seth at TDC.

FWIW--Carfax's database either isn't entirely up to date, or doesn't catch everything; case in point--I had the odometer cluster in one of my vehicles replaced under warranty at a dealership...six months later, Carfax still showed it as not having the odometer "modified". Case in point #2--one of my other vehicles was involved in an accident; a year later, Carfax still showed it as not having been in one.

But enough Carfax-bashing; it is a decent tool for obtaining some basic info about your vehicle history...if you can use it for free! OTOH--the two examples I gave prove that one would have to be a fool to pay even a dime for a Carfax report.

Well, I know they store cookies on your machine, and they don't check the e-mail address, but other than that, I can't help you.....

Nice post.Anybody know how to use this more then once ?

They check by public ip address.

First go to www.whatismyip.com and check your ip address

if on dialup, disconnect. if on dsl/cable, disconnect.

Then reconnect

go back to site and see that you have a new ip address. If so you can do it again! If you have a static ip address I guss you'll be doing it the honest way and buying your second report...

You just have to "find the right one".

I noticed there were alot that didnt work, plus some peoples report were posted!

You'll just have to start from the begning and try every link. I just did my 5th one after your post.

It is not worth the free offer anyway. I would put no more faith in one of there reports, than what a used car salesman said.
