You're invited to take part in a beta test of a TV guide/PVR application.
Qualifications:
- you need to own a Hauppauge MediaMVP device.
- you need to have a Hauppauge TV tuner card if you want to record programs
- you need to live in one of the following zip codes:

If you're considering taking part, you can be assured that MVP device is not changed by the upgrade procedure - there is no firmware flashing involved 🙂. All you have to do to rollback to original programming is reinstall the original MVP software.

I have everything but the MVP. Any good places to find them? Plus I live in area code 43201.
 
what's a MVP device. i have the tv tuner card (wintv theater), but dont life in the zip codes ur looking for. i do live in norcal tho (that seems to be where those zip codes are located)

I have both an MVP and a pvr-350. I do not live in one of those areas, but am interested in beta testing software (do you have specs?), especially if it will let you schedule recording through the MVP. I cant figure out how to contact you , though.

hey, i have the mvp but not the hauppauge card. i live in zip code 80501. i'll by a hauppauge to do the beta. what's the software? is this a new product?
 
Hey Frykun: I have a bunch of 250/250MCE/350 and Roslyn cards and also a MVP. I'd be interested in the beta test, but first would like to know a little bit more detail.

Oh, and I don't live in one of the zipcodes you mentioned ... I live pretty close to joecool 😉

I apologize for being flippant but it probably does belong somewhere else. I'm not a moderator though so I leave all that up to them. Your beta sounds interesting and it may indeed be a hot deal.

No, I am at zipcode 80503. And I use SageTV extensively ... if that matters.

Just curious, why do you need the zipcode ? To decide what channel lineups to support maybe ?

I will add 80503.
Well, so far we have our own database (only several ZIP codes). When the time comes, we will purchase the data for the whole country.
We also have a project in the works where you can sign up to get the data by yourself (just like JasonMeudt's project)
