Free audio book - audible.com

Free is good!!!

By the way, you can also get 2 free books when you sign up for a month of Audible service. You gotta put in credit card info, but just cancel before the first month is up to avoid being charged. With this deal, you can get ANY 2 books free, not just those six.

I "burned" the CD using thier software to a Virutual CD....total of 14+ CDs for Master and Command.... From that, I just ripped them back to mp3 files for my car.....one CD.

🙂

If I subscribe to their basic package which includes one radio program, will I be able to download that program as frequently as it comes out, or will I be able to do it only once a month like the book?

You can get all five using five email addresses... by the way, which are the best ones .. any opinions?

I'm a NPR fan .. so David Sedaris is probably the best choice for me .. any other opinions?

I'd subscribe to This American Life or Prairie Home Companion, I love those shows.

This American Life or Prairie Home Companion ...

are these even available as free books? The six I see don't have any of these ...

Hey Souka, what virtual cd program did you use? I've never used a virtual cd this way before. I like the idea as I have no use at all for an audio cd let alone 14 of them.
Thanks, Damon

I downloaded the Jon Stewart book. It's abridged, unfortunately, but still very funny, especially if you like the Daily Show.

I've been an AudibleListener subscriber for a year and a half. They ROCK!

I'd recomend checking to see if your portable mp3 player works with audible.com. Converting the files to MP3 is possible using some not quite kosher software, but much less convenient than using a player that accepts Audible files natively. I switched from a Creative Zen to an ipod for this reason.

If you like audio books, and own an ipod, subscribe NOW!

Which of the free books do people recommend? This is a great deal, by the way. I swear my girlfriend is addicted to audible.com!
