If it is even though it supposedly to be updated through windows on its own it is always off and after using the software it adjusted it and was 4 min off.

Program is supposed to be free of all ware spy banner crap.

And again cannot beat free 🙂

I know but everytime I try to update it using that it tells me it cannot so I found the above for others that may be having the same problem. Like I said I tried it and mine was off by 4 minutes even though it was supposedly always being updated.

Actually, it can be beat.

Use NetTime, an open-source, BSD license, stable NTP client.

Don't have to worry about "supposed to be free of".

I use Beatnik clock which is skinnable and free. It can be made very small with the right skin - I like Ampulla the best.

Thanks for the suggestion, I just installed it. I prefer open-source products.

If you're paranoid about using ms's time server :roll:, it's simple to change the sntp server Windows syncs with:

Been using anything but M$ since the "atomic clocks" first appeared before Windows emerged as a shell on top of DOS ? about '85 or '86 I'd guess. But thanks for the tip anyway.
I can remember some program or another dialing the Bureau of Standards analogue server in Boulder and pulling the time down.
I tried everything on CompuServ throughout the '80s. $400 - $600/ month for CIS. They used to bill my AE sometimes twice a week. Horrible addiction!

I agree with the poster above who mentioned "Atomic Time Sync" from Analogx.com.

The beauty of this applet (spyware free) is that you can also offset time. Say you wanted to set your clocks exactly 10 minutes (or seconds). You can do it with this thing.

and if your connection times out you can edit timeout time......
if you dont like using time.windows.com you can change the server...
and a bunch of other variables

Atomic clock btw doesnt run in the back ground or use resources. You dl the program, click on it and tell it to ping the server and it automaticly adjusts the time. The end.
