!!Free Antenna Booster for you Cell Phone

Well

I signed up b/c it was free.

I will update later if I actually get one and whether it works. I will know too, if I leave my house and go into any building in town, I lose reception. This thing can't hurt I guess.

Been there, done this. They do not work. Title should read, "Free sticker for the inside of your phone!"
🙂

PJ

1. Get some paper from your printer
2. Put some foil on it.
3. Stick both inside of your phone.

Same effect, but no waiting or giving up your personal info 🙂

this is where they farm for valid e-mail addresses to spam. never use a valid e-mail address

i went for the last "free with $8 shipping" deal; my phone doesn't seem to have a better signal, but the voices in my head are a lot clearer...😕

Not everyone know that this thing don't work. Its still hot for someone that want to decorate the inside of their phone.

These things sell in huge lots of like 500 or so on ebay, you get the same effect by taking some foil from a gum wrapper and placing it under the phone.

from the actual ad:

... utilizes stray radiation that the phone emits...channelling it into your phone...

radiation in your head = cancer last time i checked 😛

if you belive this thing works, your the same person who uses the other amazing inventions we all cannot live without like:

- Ron*o ShowTi*e Rotisserie - cooks chicken and burns your hands when you try to open the metal door, wow!!

-Jack LaL**e's Juicem*n - the only juicer around that makes you core and remove the pits before juicing, it also makes a huge mess to clean up later, amazing!

dont forget those ab-workout machines, yes you too can get rock solid 6-pack abs by sitting on the couch, watching tv and eating ice cream!! 🙂

sounds like you bought those things. 🙂

I hope this is one of the real ones, with an actual strip of metal sandwiched in the plastic, and not one of the TONS of fakes that are simply a sticker....

ive had better luck getting a thin wire and attaching it to the internal antenna and letting it dangle about. eventually it bend and break off though. i had a nokia 3360 and theres a panel where the antenna is..
anyways, these boosters are a joke.

First I'll say thanks for the post, though I regret that it may not be as hot as we hope. Honest discussion about the quality of the Hot Deal does not exactly constitute flaming, as I like to hear informed user opinions of the products in this forum.

I am a microwave engineer and have burned many brain cells and CPU cycles trying to shepherd radio waves were I would like them to go in antennas, microwave ovens, and computer boards. If a one-size-fits-all sculpted foil gum wrapper glued against the battery participated significantly in boosting cellular phone signals, manufacturers would be falling all over themselves to use them, throttle the power, and extend your battery life.
Wave propagation is a complex problem, and involves the interaction of the human head, your hand, the angle that you hold the handset, the angle you are facing, and other factors as well. We typically use different kinds of electromagnetic modeling software that often come with a human head model.

Interesting fact:
When I worked with a former Motorola engineer (disclaimer: I never worked at Motorola) he told me that the extensible antennas on some of the first folding phones was merely window dressing, and was merely made of plastic. While I never had one apart, the signal strength meter never changed when I extended and then shielded the antenna. It was probably there to reassure those people who were accustomed to having telescopic antennas on their FM radios, walkie-talkies, and the first cordless phones.

That?s probably analogous to the tall skinny taillights on luxury cars that serve as vestigial fins, reminding the old farts of the big honkin? fins they had on their first cars. Was the idea that they looked like rocket ship fins?

The people must be comforted ? let?s face it, circuit boards that come with solder mask in colors other than green are disturbing.
