MasterCard will be posting information about the Amazon offer after June 17.
Please return after that date.

LMAO!! Was that a Seinfeld reference (the Rabbi) or am I just a pathetic Seinfeld fanatic who looks for references to that show everywhere?

Either way

I agree. I signed up with my real MC, and I'd hate to get bumped from the offer because of some guy with 150 gc from virtual #'s.

$150? Heck I signed up with a 50 cent balance on a virtual card. If they were too stupid to screen these cards then F' em.

It's probably too late already. The deal was active for so long and most of the GCs have already been sent and used. The fact that it only took around 1-2 minutes to get one via a virtual CC# means that many people were able to get well over 100 if they wanted to, so they probably already gave out tens of thousands of GCs if not more. Not to say that Amazon/Mastercard can't afford it, but I doubt it will be back, and if it is, it will probably be $15 off $75 or something less useful.

The site has been updated. They now require lots of work to get the GC.
1.) Register here for Special Offers-- online and in your neighborhood, including
up to 50% savings on entertainment and travel-- courtesy of MasterCard by
August 15, 2003
2.) Locate your Special Offer Postcard with your amazon.com® packing slip
3.) Mail the following to MasterCard Offer with amazon.com, P.O. Box 14014
Bridgeport, CT 06673-4014

Your original Special Offer Postcard
Your name, complete mailing address, email address, telephone number,
age, and the first six digits of your MasterCard card account number on a plain 3"x5" piece of paper

Offer requests must be received by August 22, 2003, so act now! Click here for Terms and Conditions.

So you have to actually buy something from Amazon and get a postcard when you package comes, then mail it in like a rebate.

I don't think those of us that signed up and never received anything will be getting anything.

I agree--hopefully since I already signed up with my real MasterCard #, it'll let me re-register and actually get my gc this time... I don't think I'll be punished for following the rules both times...

I guess hope was not lost... $15 for me, plus I just sent off my snail mail postcard for the new offer... Now I guess I need to keep my fingers crossed for that one.
