I've been using MyIE for over a year. I've tried just about all the others, and MyIE has the most options and features - tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, popup blocking, grouping favorites, plug-ins, and lots more. It was started by some Chinese guy.

I use Avant browser and Firebird. Avant browser has a lot more features than Crazybrowser (i.e. mouse gestures) and it has regular updates.

I always don't feel comfortable to submit online order with credit card & billing info. I use Opera most of the time. But when placing an order online, I always use IE/Netscape.

Please let me know if this is something I don't have to worry.

I have been using crazybrowser for a long time now, but I just tried Avantbrowser and I am really impressed!

I will use it for a couple of days, but I think I will switch over.

Thanks!

wow this new Firebird 0.6 is definitely the best. I've tried MyIE / crazybrowser, etc. Mozilla was ok but slow. Firebird is faster than IE. I was using IE with ashield.org to block popups until this 0.6 came out. I've converted over. One click to clear all cache, history, urls, passwords, etc. Simply awesome.

As long as its encrypted, the encryption is the same regardless of browser (unless some browser doesn't support some encryption). I doubt you have to worry, but if it makes you feel safer go for it.

On the same note, do you know the federal laws about credit card fraud? Keep an eye on your bill and if you find something suspicious, call your card company immediatly (within 60 days is the law) and THEY have the burden of proof to prove it wasn't fraudulent. And you dont have to pay that amount until they prove it. So if ever you find a weird charge, its hassle free to fix it, so dont worry about it. My dad found a couple of charges on his bill (we think it was from a place he bought something at which actually is more of a danger often if you take precautions, not the internet ) and they rushed him a new card, took the charges off and everything was ok.

My 2 cents: Stay away from debit cards, unlike credit cards where you dont have to pay if its fraudulent, with debit cards, you've ALREADY paid if something happens and getting your money back is quite a lot harder and can take months.

ive been using phoenix/firebird for a while as well.
but theres one IE feature i really miss: the inline autocomplete

i think it was in one of the 0.5 nightly builds i was using (my memory is shot), but since i upgraded to 0.6, i cant seem to get it
ive even looked in
"about:config" and havent been able to find anything like it.

any suggestions?

Stick with Opera. It is the only web browser. The rest are just poor imitations.
