You can get the Microsoft Ages of the Empire II game from Office Depot on sale for $19.99 this week. There is a rebate on Microsoft.com for $20.00 this game until December 31, 2002 (yes 2002!) (printable rebate form; just do a search for the game). If you're smart, there are also some other coupons from Office Depot that might net you this game for better than free (you know 15% off $50.00, etc...).

This game might make an excellent Christmas Gift. Get some of Bill Gate's money and get his software for free LEGALLY...

Can anyone get a link to the rebate, MS search and I have a long standing animosity for each other.

I found this page at the Microsoft site and it says:

<< Unless otherwise noted, you can find a product's mail-in rebate inside the product box once you purchase it. >>

I don't see a printable rebate anywhere so I guess the rebate is supposed to come in the box. Does anyone know for sure if the rebates comes in the copies from OD?

Good point. I'd just wrap the game with the manual and CD. Who needs the box anyway? :)

Argh! I gotta learn to check the board before I go out. I went to OD today and if I had known this I would have picked the game up for my husband. He's addicted to AoE.

Use OD free briefcase promotion in some thread here to make it up to $50 - $30(briefcase coupon) - $20(M$MIR), free shipping too.

I tried combining the free briefcase with a coupon on a previous order, it didn't work. It would apply 1 offer but not both.

Caution: This game is very dangerous, keep away from all school children and working adults. It is incredibly addicting and sucked up over a year of my weekends.... proceed with care when purchasing such an addicting game. lol. Enjoy
