The newer ones seem to be made in Taiwan. Still good, but the old made in Japan ones seem to be more reliable for me. Too bad they don't make those anymore.
Picked some of these up today. They're in sleeves with a flip-open plastic storage case. They also have a 10-pack of Dysan 650MB CDs free after $5 rebate. Those are in regular jewel cases. SKU 280312
Tung - the jewel cases with the Dysans I got are black.
Yeah, the sign in my CompUSA said the regular price was $19.99. LOL! Can't imagine that anyone would actually pay that! I mainly picked them up for the cases. The ad specifically states "not available via mail order".
I've had both Taiwan Cd-Rs and Japan CD-Rs, both seem equal to me. My experience is that most of the coasters people make are due to the burner/computer, not the media itself. I've tried some supposedly "cheap" CD-R and it burns fine!
