OCZ's reputation aside (some like it, others don't), Agiligy 3 (based on SF2281 controller and asynch NAND's) is comparable to Intel 330, Kingston HyperX 3K, or Corsair Force 3. It used to be considered Tier 2 (below Vertex 3) until Vertex 4 came out 2 months ago. With SSD prices falling like rocks, 60gb is no longer considered to be the bare minimum size (you can get a 90-gb or even a 120-gb one for not much more). That being said, you can pair it with a mechanical HD, or in systems with Intel Rapid Response.

More like the Kingston V+200 (not V200, but V-PLUS-200). That is Kingston's lower end Sandforce 2281.

Yup, Z77 supports SSD caching without 3rd party software (outside of Intel SRT).

I've taken advantage of those falling prices, went all in on OCZ Agility 3's for all my laptops and computers. With the latest firmware, they're fine.
