Anyway, I got my card yesterday and used to get Chinese food 🙂 Have to wait and see if the iPod comes.
 
Thanks for the heads up on this, I didn't read the fine print, SO I will be cancelling this card, after the Ipod arrives, or 6 months go by... whichever comes first!

Maybe I missed it when looking over my TOS for the card but I saw no mention of a "Maintainance Fee". Where did you see this?

I just got my card yesterday and used it last night. I can't wait until the Ipod gets here. My 13 y.o. daughter will love it. Makes for a great, and free, Christmas gift. BTW, I just went through all the paperwork that came with it and do not see anything about a maintenance fee. Maybe Chantitan is special?!?
 
I didn't see anything in the TOS about the maintenence fee, either. Maybe I'm just blind... Chantitan, if you can let us know where you found it, that would be great.
 
Man, I hope I get my card. I was denied for one from Amazon due to insufficient income. I'm in college and already have a BB&T platinum with a $5,000 limit that I've had for over 3 years.

I applied a couple of days ago, hopefully a letter either way will be in the mail when I get home.

Fingers crossed.

Even if this is(or isn't) true, the day I get my iPod is the day I cancel the card.

The $2.50 maintenance fee is on the GIFT CARD. See prior threads that had the "get $100" or earlier, "get $150" gift card. Here or at the cubbywallet.
 
I bit. Someone Post when they get their IPOD Shuffle. As a variable rate card, I don't plan on keeping it after I Get my Ipod.

If it works out, maybe I'll have the wife apply too.
 
i got my card today also, but no hwere in the envelope does it say anything about the IPOD shuffle? Does it matter? What do i do?

same here, got mine a couple of weeks ago, no news abt the shuffle.... hope it comes.
 
oh oops.. i think i got the envelop the other day but forgot it was for this, thought it was another junk mail and threw it away... OH NO MY CHANCE FOR FREE SHUFFLE!
 
It'll come, don't worry. Just make a charge on the card. If you sign up using the link I posted, the free offer is associated with your card, but you never get any info about it. The freebie just shows up, usually 4-6 weeks after the first charge. Comes via UPS, at least the gift cards did.

so, what happens if I simply cancel the card as soon as I get the iPod?
 
My iPod was delivered by UPS (signature required) yesterday. Thanks OP! (oops, guess that'd be me :beer: ).
 
I also got my card and so I called up customer service and confirmed I will be getting a SHuffle soon. Keeping fingers crossed

Still waiting on mine, I got the card 10/7, used it 10/9 I am excited to get my shuffle. I will cancel the card as soon as it arrives too... the card IS kind of ugly.
 
Actually, I am planning to keep this credit card and cancel my old one.
Seems like this card is pretty good. You can earn points and get gift card and such.

My old credit card doesn't have a reward program, and it is only a student credit card (I graduated from college 2 years ago).
Also planning to cancel my MicroCenter credit card. I got it because of the $100 dollars after rebate computer.
