No catch, it'll come if you have decent credit, only have to make one purchase on it to get the iPod. No annual fee, cancel after you get the iPod in a couple of months. Lots of us have already gotten free $150 and $100 GC's from them on prior CC deals. You may or may not get approved after submitting online app, but even if they say that can't make an immediate decision, the card usually shows within a couple of weeks.

Not bad.. though.. My credit is probby wayy to sh!tty to qualify. It doesn't help your credit when you decide to argue with a bank for 10 overdraft charges ($350) in a row...

No annual fee. How do we know this is not some spoof site, collecting all info needed to apply for credit cards? I can't find any info about this from the Charles Schawb?

Forget it, there it is in the upper right hand corrner. Charles Schwab

So if you ordered this, then cut up the card, and left the credit account as is, would that actually improve your credit, and give you a shuffle for free?

I think it says you got to use it at least once to get the iPod.

so does opening multiple creditcard accounts within months of each other lower somebody's credit? my score is in the 780s range and i opened 2 CC for the purpose of giftcards in the past 6 months or so.

Yup. Think of credit accounts as investments for your future credit. As soon as you open up a credit account, it will hurt your credit. However, over time, if you keep that account in good standing and empty, it will improve your credit.

What seems odd to me, I don't "want" an iPod. When I wasn't getting one I sort of wanted it, but with the offer in front of me it isn't very appealing.

You can get more than 1 VISA card right? I already have a visa credit card from my bank and a mastercard, I can get a second one right?

Yea, shouldn't be a problem. I had two and thinned it down to one... Now I guess I am back up to 2!

Actually, yes. One of your credit score items is the ratio of your debt to your available credit.

Say that you now have one card with a $10,000 limit and owe $5,000 on it. You are using 50% of your available credit. Now you open another card with a $10,000 limit, but maintain the same $5,000 balance. Now you are only using 25% of your available credit!
