Free $5 gift certificate to Sports Authority

the sports authority is currently holding a "coach of the year contest"

each store has been given 5 (five) $5 gift certificates for the first 5 (five) entries into the contest
(they will be awarded to the coach)


im sure some of you are coaches and have forgotten...
no one has entered at my store (madison 650) but other stores may have...
there is also a $25 shopping spree for best essay from each store
im not sure if they have any way to check if the coach is a coach...
you need to find a small child (your kid or teammate) and have them fill one out for you or sign their name on the one u filled out about yourself...

things that are cool - sport things, folding chairs, gps, 2 way radio, guns and bows, bowling and bikes...

to sum it up:
go to the sports authority pick up one of these : http://webpages.charter.net/supiammike/Image092.jpg
then fill out name addy coach name, city, state, sport, zip, store location, day time phone
(coach name is the $5 winner but person name is $25 winner if essay is good) (store location is given by store)
then bring it back in and hope u were one of the first 5

yeah i think they took the money from employee of the month fund... grr


i am employee of the month july 2002 and i didnt get the same stuff i did last year

last year i got a pin and 6 hours of pay...


this year i get a pin and a certificate ... bah

well actually if ur the winner across the country u go to seaworld ( 4 round trips for you and your coach each...)


also - aug 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th all employees have little 25% off friends and family cards


last time we were able to re use the card so i gave quite a few people a nice 25% off discount...

im sure if u go in and talk friendly to an employee (or have a hot chick with you) you will be given the same treatment...

I agree that it is too much work for a $5 coupon. Time=money for sure. I used to work at Sports Authority and man was it the ultimate job back in high school. I miss all the deals I found on clearance that I could use my 20% off on and then use a $5 coupon on top. Wish I could go back and get paid well to stand around at the customer service desk once again!

it sucks now, u cant have a 20% off emp discount and the coupons anymore...

the coupons say no emp discount and coupon at same time :-(
