Cheap CAD programs are really useless for those who use them. A free one however doesn't have to be good or usefull . Being in the business, I've seen the difference of a cheap program and the $300 AutoCAD program. When all of your drawings are off by 1/2" even though the scale says they're not, you'll lose your status and or job pretty fast.

$7.99 is nearly free, and you don't take the risk of being bombarded by spam after giving your personal info and email address to some unknown-CAD-program-give-away-scheme. TurboCAD is a very refined product, albiet a more limited feature set.

You can do worse than TurboCAD for three times as much, even worse than 'free'.
