Free 2GB Mailbox

all these companies will probably fail within years b/c they don't have as much name recognition as google and they don't have the $.

They probably will fail or start charging for the service, but until then... another spam e-mail box for free offers 🙂
Thanks OP

I guess the main difference is, it seems Inbox is an ISP offering free e-mail whereas some e-mail providers do only that.

Either way, it's free - can't complain 🙂

thanks. parked my nick just in case (of what? I dunno..).
interface looks really nice, service is fast, and it has a nice domain.

however, I'm not giving up gmail anytime soon.

I think the company behind inbox.com will make money off its domain name. I mean, what can be more cool than inbox.com.

Why use this instead of gmail? Gmail has almost 200mb over it, and a lot more features.

Maybe because you're more likely to get the name you want rather than some obscure unrecognizable gibberish as your username on gmail.

Sweet... was able to get myself, wife, and two kids accounts with our actual names!

We'll see how it works out in the long run. Thx OP.

Signed up. Looks interesting, but I started getting tons of spam, even before I used or gave out the address. On the default settings, the spam blocker is POOR! You have to use the white/black lists and sender confirmation feature to get rid of spam.
