So, you can listen to 15 minutes of music, click in another card, and listed to another 15 minutes. No thanks.

All my MP3's are 128kb or higher and are 3-7 megs (as are most peoples). That player is useless, and it sounds terrible too.

Fritzo, please don't crap. This is a good find for people who want it. If you don't, just hit the back button.

yah for $23.99 + shipping, its a great intro player. no other player comes close to the same quality for the same price.

If you were to double the price, or triple, i would expect more quality.

but nonetheless they are all sold out at etoys now.

I'd be careful - eToys will likely end up stiffing their suppliers as a part of the bankruptcy, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are taken off the approved retailers list at the fulfillment house...

Heheheh....I have a white elephant for $.25....anyone interested?

A lot of people in this forum have to learn that just because something is cheap, it doesn't mean it's a particularly good deal. By the time you buy all the accessories to make this thing useful, you could have bought a 64MB legit MP3 player.:D

Nothing gets by you Fritzo. What a terrible deal, $24 for a mp3 player that goes for $60-80 on eb@y and a free memory card that goes for $30-40. Man that $60-90 profit really bites

Yeah, I'm going to send for the free 16MB MultiMedia Card, sell the $24 MP3 player on fleabay for between 45 and 60 dollars, and use the MMC card in my new Cassiopeia EM500 PDA. What a lousy deal! ;)

I just received my 5 Jamp3 players getting ready to fleabay them, but I will be doing this first, well worth the two minutes it takes to fill out a form, thanks a ton...

Not everyone wants to take the time to Fleabay everything that will make a couple of bucks. I agree with Fritzo here if you are buying this for personal use. If you are going to sell, or are in it just for the memory card....fine. That would be a reason to get in on the deal. However if you want an MP3 player to carry along with you to listen to music, even $5 would be too much to only listen to 15 minutes at a time. I think that 64 meg players are limiting to carry long distances without a laptop to change the songs. Certainly a 16 meg card offering to store 4-5 songs at a time would be more of a nuissance than benefit to ME.

On a side note....Jugernot you have it wrong.

<Roadrunner:would anyone be kind enuff to shoot that pdf to my email sam@bytebandits.com ?

plz? My browser keeps tweaking out on it.>

My browser does the same darn thing. I think there may be two apps associated with .pdf files. If you figure out what the problem is... post the solution.

As for the cheap mp3 deal... Heck, it ain't so bad. When I run or inline I kinda zone out & prefer listening to only a few songs... over & over & over.

I bought a Diamond Rio 500 64meg a few months back for $109 shipped from Buy.com. So, I don't need another mp3 player... but for my demented listening needs the cheap etoys deal would probably do me just as good as my Rio. Hmmm..... maybe I'll snag one.

Thanks to whoever it was who posted the deal.

1) It's overpriced in the first place (probably why it was discontinued)
2) You need a 64 meg card to hold 1 hour of CD quality music. That 16 meg card will hold a whopping 15 minutes of music (woooooo....two, maybe three songs per card!) I haven't seen a 64 meg MM memory card for less than $90 (it's usually $100-$120).
3) There are two 64 meg MP3 players on the market right now that retail in the $100 range. There's even a portable CD player now that plays MP3's for $100.
4) If you look at every review ever made of that product, they all say it's sounds terrible.

So again, no...it's not a good deal.

I just bought one (paid $35), and I dont care.
Heck, I'll probably barely use it anyways, so I dont really care how little it holds.
But, I will try to get that rebate going though :D

I listen to spoken word and classical music. These can be set to low bit rates. I would not have paid full price for this POS. But then again I didn't pay full price now did I. SWEET DEAL!!!!!

Can you crap in a deal forum? I would always like to know someones opinion of a product before I bought it. Be it good or bad. And if it's a player that sucks then I am glad I know about it before I buy it. I appreciate the work Fritzo...
