Freaky network card

Ok, just recently my network card started acting up on me. The cables and everything are positively connected fine. However, occasionally the network lights on the back of the nic will start to both blink at the same time at an exact interval of about 1-3 seconds. When I'm in windows 2000 the little cable is disconnected bubble thingy goes on and off at the same rate as the blinking. This occurrence is sporadic. Most of the time the card works fine, but every once and again it will start doing this and it really bothers me. Please help! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
