Order...if they don't...cancel, or they'll hopefully do it for you. Easy solution.

I'm happy with my 3000 Venice for $115 shipped. But for those who are iffy on this deal, jump in on it right now. Either you'll get the good deal or you won't lose any money. Just be sure to use a CC and not a debit card.

The deal is dead, unless you happened to be smart like intogamer and save the price quote.

😀 I did that with the 3540 deal... 40.99 shipped at monarch... quoted...
it was an awesome price... a day l8tr it is 49 bucks >_<

how long are the coupons good for? i still have a saved quote on this as well. i guess my order went through independently.

you know you can save quotes with coupon/s...

I still like the 3000+ @ ewiz for $115 better. 😀

Very nice find though.

yeah, i got one of those but saved a quote on this. if the 3000 is a dog i'll use it in another system and get this. i'll know tomorrow.

The key is overclocking. If you bought the 90nm version, it has lower heat and much more room for overclocking since it runs cooler. On stock cooler with no voltage mods you can crank up for instance the 90nm venice ones from the 2 ghz of the 3200+ to 2.8 ghz or so. Which is past the 4000+ speeds (4000+ amd64 is only 2.4 ghz) , faster than any they sell. Google some reviews of the venice or winchester cores and read how they overclocked.

Crank it up, run a few runs of prime95 to make sure its stable and use it. As for lessened life of chip, well normally computer chips probably last at least 15 years (normally its power supplies and moving parts like hdds that fail). If you are reducing its lifetime to say 3 or 4 years, thats plenty for most people. Odds are if you want speed you will be upgrading way before then.

Kicking myself in the a$$ over this one. I thought $169 was hot, so I posted it, then I talk myself out of it, disapper for a few days and when I come back you guys got an even hotter deal. Way to go guys!! next time I will not be such a weenie

Monarch usually runs unadvertised specials on the weekends. Its happened MANY times in the past and will continue in the future.

People have to keep checking cause they never know what will be on sale and when; which boosts their traffic and potential sales.

i know, but i didn't even realize the coupon was there. when i did see that post, i just ordered one. i'll see if the coupon goes through later.

on a happier note, it looks like monarch already shipped it via fedex 😕 heh, i'll take it i guess.

Monarch shipped my $144 3200+ Venice and my $440 4200+ Manchester (which included a free X2 compatible NForce4 motherboard). Will post results of how both CPUs overclock in this thread when they arrive (in about 3 days).
