I was in the theatres yesterday watching Mr. and Mrs. Smith when I stopped by the bathroom to wash my hands. The employees were in there changing the soap besides the sinks. The way they have to do this is by removing the wooden panel below the sink to replace the soap bags. Well, being very careless, one of the employees let a panel fall while I was standing there washing my hands. It fell right on my fvcking foot!!! It hurt pretty bad for a while. I had to limp to the theatre. It felt like it crushed a blood vessel! Now, after giving it a night to rest, it still feels kinda sore and not right.

Grrr...this sucks.

While my dad was walking in a shop he had a piece of steel fall on his foot. The worst part of it was that he was wearing steel-toe'd boots, but his foot somehow slipped under the steel so his foot got crushed.

Use the the dark side of the force, to sue them.

I'd be pissed off if it happened to me, but if the result was damage to my foot that caused me to have to see a doctor, etc. then I'd consider suing, though even then I have insurance so I probably wouldn't even bother.

I'm against all the retarded suing for every little thing in America and was just being sarcastic in my original post.

Use to happen all the time to me when I was a Carpenter. You haven't lived until you've stepped on a 16 penney nail and had it go through the sole of your boot into your foot.

I had 2x4 hitting my head once at work as carpenter. It freaking hurted. :|

Falling lumber and tools are job hazards along with stepping on nails and falling off buildings for Carpenters. You'd also be surprised how many hands without all their digits will reach out when you pass something to a fellow Carpenter.

steel toes = win

clarification of the steel crushed dad's foot story? Did his steel toes collapse and bite his toes, or did the beam hit an area of his boot not protected by the steel toes?

Somehow his foot slid under the steel in his own boot, then when the other piece of steel fell and hit his steel toe, it pushed down and crushed his foot that was placed under the steel. Hell if I know how that happened.

So that explains it.

You should have talked to management when you were there. Get a few months worth of movie tickets or something :)
