My school has a contract with SoCal Edison to get a reduced rate in the power bill if they could shut down power when the reserve levels get too low. They tried to get out of the contract, but somehow they can't get out. Now the power has been going out for the past three days (about 2 hours), and has inconvenienced (understatement) many students (and probably professors and staff)
Now today, the power is going out at 3pm, and I heard that it is projected to go out for the next 14 days. Really great cuz next week is finals. I think they should do a study and find out the grades of the students at the end of this semester and compare it to the last fall sememster and see if they did any worse.
This is stupid, stupid, stupd. Saving on the electricity bill, but at what cost (way to go in figuring this out you fools who entered this contract)
Rant pending..
