FRaps not working in BF3?

I turned on fraps to see the frames per sec and there was no display. Any other program?

I'm not sure but the game was super laggy for me, I'm think I need a video card or something.

It worked perfectly fine for me. Maybe try to reinstall fraps?

Yeah you definitely need a video card for BF3.

I have an 8800GTS and I turned everything to medium and down and the tanks look much worse then BC2 and it's still choppy. Playable but not visually impressive

I have used Fraps and Dxtory without issue. In general sometimes I have to restart Fraps to get the fps overlay. MSI Afterburner can also do this for free.

Did you use a quad core?

Played it tonight on a friends x2 555 stock/8800gts and the best settings ended up being low 1024x768...

Anything more and it would run like complete crap .

For such low specs it looked pretty ok and single player is epic i think:thumbsup:

No I have a core 2 duo, I seriously gotta upgrade but I'm not loving this game yet. I played almost a thousand hours of Bad Company 2 and still love it, but the sniper scope sway and the cheap looking and sounding tanks of BF3... I don't know, maybe I'm just not used to it yet. I also seem to be getting base raped/spawn killed a lot, I have no clue about the maps so I can't say for sure but it's reminding me of Modern Warfare where there were no sides, people coming up from behind constantly.

"render.drawfps 1" in console will display your framerate in game.
